In this report, Nordicity provides an update to the study entitled, Analysis of Government Support for Public Broadcasting and other Culture in Canada, first prepared for CBC|Radio-Canada in June 2006 and updated in January 2009, February 2011 and October 2013. Each edition of the study includes a comparison of the levels of per capita public funding for public broadcasting in 18 Western countries. They also include statistics and analysis of public broadcasters’ commercial and advertising revenues. The 2016 edition of the study also includes a more in-depth review of the funding models for public broadcasting in the 18 comparison countries.
