But why does he think it's okay if lies are told on his platform?
Mark Zuckerberg claims that it isn't in Facebook's interest to be the "arbiters of truth."
That's well and good. But, according to a Léger marketing study, 1 in 2 Canadians believe at least one conspiracy theory about COVID-19. Where are they getting their news? Facebook.
Facebook makes billions by peddling fake news, junk science and outright lies. It's time we reined them in.
